MalleoLoc® is an ankle stabilizing orthosis.

The orthosis improves stability against lateral flexion movements of the foot without any significant impairment of the normal rolling movement of the foot. The MalleoLoc® is located anterolaterally in the joint and prevents displacement of the talus without restricting the free movement of the ankle in the direction of downward flexion. The amount of movement restriction can be continuously selected using a strap system without restricting downward or upward flexion of the ankle. The tongue on the plantar side increases neuromuscular effects and thus actively stabilizes the ankle with the help of the muscles.

Indications for use
Early reserve treatment for injuries to the lateral ankle ligament (and medial ligament Lig. Bifurcatum).
Post-operative protection after ligament suturing/reconstruction.
Chronic ligament weakness.
Conservative treatment of severe ankle sprains and ligament tears.
Sprain of the upper or lower ankle ligament.
Sprain prevention.
