Bauerfeind GenuTrain P3

GenuTrain P3 knee brace to support the knee and patella. The brace centers the patella and prevents painful lateral movement with a special patella pad and a corrective strap that can be individually adjusted with Velcro.

Method of operation

• External compression accelerates the absorption of swelling and fluid accumulation. It enhances proprioception and promotes joint stability.
• The soft knit around the knee is comfortable but still provides compression that promotes healing.
• The pad and adjustment strap hold the patella in the middle of the knee. The pad prevents the patella from shifting laterally.
• The adjustment strap guides the patella to slide in the correct range of motion.
• The friction points reduce pressure and relieve pain at the back of the kneecap.
• The pressure fluctuations caused by the three-dimensional, anatomically shaped knit, together with the newly designed pad over the vastus medialis muscle, relieve pain and promote metabolism.
• The patellar cap resists medial tilting of the patella during knee movements. This helps the patella maintain its physiological range of motion.
• Thanks to sensorimotor feedback, the muscle relaxant gently relaxes the iliotibial tract at the lateral retinaculum of the patella, which reduces lateral traction on the patella. This reduces stress on the patella and relieves pain.

Size
With the knee bent to approximately 30 degrees, the upper measurement is taken 17 cm upwards from the middle of the knee, and the lower measurement is taken 15 cm downwards from the middle of the knee.
