Sorbact Foam vaahtosidos 10x10cm

Sorbact® Foam is a dressing for the treatment of superficial, exuding wounds. Due to its antimicrobial properties, the dressing is particularly suitable for the prevention of wound infection or the treatment of an already infected wound. Sorbact® Foam dressing combines a hydrophobic surface that binds bacteria with a soft, absorbent foam dressing.

Indications
venous and arterial leg ulcers, diabetic wounds, pressure ulcers, acute surgical and procedural wounds. Sorbact® Foam is also suitable for use as a second absorbent dressing in the treatment of deep and cavity wounds.

Behavior at the wound
Pathogenic microbes on the wound surface and in the exudate bind effectively and quickly to the acetate silk surface treated with fatty acid ester (DACC) to make it hydrophobic, after which the wound exudate, purified from microbes causing inflammation, is absorbed into the polyurethane foam. The dressing does not contain cytotoxic or allergenic ingredients.
