The Orliman 1002 support vest helps maintain a safe sitting position in a wheelchair, regular chair or recliner. The vest supports the body in the front, shoulders, waist and crotch area. It is suitable for people who have difficulty controlling their body or tend to slide forward in the seat.

Structure and properties

The support vest is made of a breathable, three-layer material containing polyamide, foam and polyester. The set includes a belly belt, a vest part that supports the chest and shoulders, and a crotch fastening. Adjustable straps allow the support to be adapted to the user and the seat.

Color-coded fastening buckles make it easy to put on the vest correctly. The fastening straps are connected to the seat being used according to the manufacturer's instructions.

The product is intended for users who have:

• poor control of body or sitting position
• tendency to slide forward in the seat
• the need to support the body's forward and lateral position

Measure the user's total circumference while sitting in the chair or wheelchair in which the support vest is being used.

Safe use

The support vest must be fitted and adjusted individually for the user. Before use, check that the straps do not press, rub or interfere with breathing and that the user cannot slip inside the vest.

The product is not a vehicle seat belt and does not replace an approved restraint system used in the vehicle. It is recommended that a healthcare or assistive technology professional verify the suitability and correct installation of the product.
