The Orliman C-42A supports the elbow and forearm and helps relieve the load on the shoulder joint. The manufacturer's stated uses include shoulder subluxations and situations where the shoulder needs to be relieved and supported.

The sling is made of breathable honeycomb material. The adjustable shoulder strap allows the arm height to be adjusted to suit the user. The neoprene padding on the shoulder reduces the pressure caused by the strap.
